Baby Q...12 weeks!

No...that is not a trick...I truly look this pregnant already!!! You would think with the sickness, I would be losing weight but that is not the case!!!

We are so excited to almost be in our second trimester! It is such a wonderful time for us. The baby is now the size of a lime (my students find that fact baffling...they thought the baby was smaller) and is very active. I know because I saw him/her on the ultrasound and he or she was a mover and a shaker! Malia can't wait to be a big sister. We are practicing with a doll and talk about the baby every day. I ask her if she is having a brother or sister and she changes her mind daily. I know she will be a wonderful help.

Miss Independence!

Malia is growing every day! She is very independent and loves to push herself! We recently went to a birthday party at Pump It Up in Tacoma and she LOVED it. She didn't want anyone to help her.
She totally looks like she is biting it her but she loved rolling down the slide...we couldn't get her to stop! She wouldn't slow down long enough for me to get a picture of her. She had a blast!
Malia is actually at the top of the slide getting ready to go down! Malia recently had her two year check up and is doing SO well! She is the 68 percentile for weight, 91 percentile for height, and 99 percentile for her head size. We are glad that she is so healthy. Her doctor was astounded by her vocab and that she can count to 12.I swear we don't make her sit down for lessons! We encourage her curiousity (and she is naturally curious about everything) but don't sweat the small stuff. She is just naturally bright and yes...we are totally gaga for Malia. Sorry for the bragging but...what's a mom to do??? If you think I'm bad, you should hear her grandmas.

Baby Q!!!!!

We are SO excited to let everyone know that we are pregnant again. We are due on April 11th. I had a dr appt. yesterday and we know that Baby Q is happy and healthy. I was extremely nervous before the appt and feel so happy that everything went well. This isn't the best photo but I couldn't wait to scan it. Best wishes to everyone! My health is doing fine. Blood pressure is up a bit but life is good now that I have prescription meds for the morning sickness!

Malia's Second Birthday!!!

Malia had a fabulous second birthday party! We decided to have it at home this year and rented her a jumper for the yard. So many people came and we felt so lucky to have so many amazing people in our lives. The grandmas came early and helped with everything...I don't know how we would have done it without them. I can't believe Malia is already 2!!!!

Malia was fascinated by her cake. She kept practicing blowing the candles out and wanted to keep touching the frosting. It was adorable.

The kids really enjoyed the jumper...and some adults (Caldwell) as well. It was great...they came and put it up and then took it away at the end of the party.
