Happy Easter!

Well, technically this is Malia's second Easter. BUT, it is the first time she really had fun with it.
She loved looking for her Easter bucket from one grandma...and Easter basket from the other grandmas!
When she took everything out, she enjoyed putting them on her head.
We had such a wonderful day as a family.

God has truly blessed us.

Hangin at the Crabpot!

This weekend was busy (when is it not??). I had training again on Sat. (I found out I am being trained for the whole state...not just Tacoma...who would've known?) and then we went to the Crabpot in Seattle for Chad and Michelle's birthdays. We had an amazing dinner...love the bibs.

Then we enjoyed a trip on the carousel...what a day!
We finished with some American Idol on the Wii. Not too shabby!

Olympia Children's Museum

This last weekend was very busy. On Sat. I was in a training (I am being trained to be a trainer for the district...what a cool opportunity!) and it cut our weekend short. So, we decided to make the most out of Sunday. Aaron has been very excited to take Malia to the children's museum in Olympia. We went and she had such a great time.
Malia loved driving this ambulance. She was moving so much, Aaron couldn't get a picture of her!
Malia REALLY loves filling up buckets right now...she was fascinated with the idea of filling it up and dumping it out...ahhhhhh life's simple pleasures.
Malia stared at this wall for quite awhile. You could push you hands on the other side. At one point, Aaron put his face through...Malia thought that was great.
Here is Malia driving the school bus...she really loves the driving thing! She also loved pushing the stop sign out over and over and over (you get the idea) and over and over again.

Happy Birthday Malia! Well...Sort of.

Malia turned 1 1/2 years on Sun. We went golfing (she stayed home with grandma...she wanted us to go for her:-) Then we took her to the park and she had a ball. She loves the swings and the slides! This weekend we also took her to the mall and she went on a few of the rides so that she can get ready for Disneyland. Our first official road trip begins very soon! At first she seemed unsure of the rides but she soon warmed up. The monkey backpack she has on is actually a leash (the tail is the leash). We were trying it out to see how well it works...still a work in progress.

This is Malia and Grandpa. She calls him pop-pop because she can't say grandpa and he always pops his finger out of his mouth to make an awesome sound.

Wilson Show Choir Auction

This weekend, we went to the annual Wilson Show Choir Auction. Many (many) years ago, I was in show choir...and even more years before that...my mother was! Anyway, so as a family we like to go and support the choir. For a few years, Marcus Trufant would even come to support them...is it any wonder that he is my favorite football player? He didn't even do choir at Wilson!!! This year we were all astounded when a simple cheesecake (value of $38) went for a whopping $2,500! The last two years the auction has been held at St. Pats (so they can serve alcohol) and we like to imbibe in a few drinks:-) We did get silly and I even ended up singing before the night was over. My brother did an amazing Adam Sandler (Piece of Sh#^* Car). What a great night.

Lake Spanaway

On a glorious Sunday afternoon, I almost beat Aaron at golf. Okay, so almost still means I didn't...but a girl can hope. My mom, Michelle, Aaron, and I golfed last Sunday and had a wonderful time. I do not think that I played even one hole where I was not behind a tree at some point. Every time I was thankful my coach (Dale) taught me the one shot I actually learned...to hit the ball low and far. With all this being said...the most important part of it all was that we were making memories. Maybe we should all golf under the philosophy of Mike Cook...the more times you hit the ball, the more you get for your money.
