Halloween, Snow Days, Thanksgiving, and more~

Here are the girls at Halloween. They had a great time visiting their cousins and then trick or treating in our neighborhood.
The girls loved the snow! Malia didn't want to make a snowman because she didn't like to see the grass appear when we started getting the snow. We did a lot of snow angels instead:-)

Malia looks forward to her advent calendar from Grandma Sheila every year...I caught her on a chair "just looking" at them:-)
We had the best Thanksgiving! My best friend (the girls godmother) came all the way from Maui for a visit...it was so special!

Zoo Boo, Ballet and more!

Life is moving right along! We have been having such a great time spending time with family and friends. My dear friend Jen (Auntie J to the girls) has just moved back from Reno and it has been such a blessing to have her here!!! I even made her take up golf:-) Now...if we could just get Melly back here....:-)
It is so wonderful to have women in my life that are family and friends. Lucky me!!!! Love them!

Here we are at zoo boo at the zoo. We are looking at the tapir. Ava is going through a stage (dear God let it be a stage) where she will only go to mommy. Mommy's arms were very sore after carrying her through the zoo for an hour and a half. Here daddy, Malia and Ava are watching the walrus (whew...mommy got to put her down for a few minutes!)

The girls taking a picture...Ava is still looking over at the walrus:-)BALLET!
Malia is back doing ballet again. She really loves it and has a great time with Ms. Theresa. Malia is the type of kid that follows EXACTLY what the teacher is doing (as you can see in this pic!)Our lovely ladies...again, Ava has to be held:-)
Beautiful ballerina!

Malia's 4!

We took these pictures on Malia's actual birthday. She was SO excited to finally be four! (slow down I say....)

Happy Birthday Malia!

For Malia's fourth birthday we had family and friends over. We surprised her by renting a big jumpy castle/slide combo. She was ecstatic!

She thought the basketball hoop inside was so exciting!

Ava LOVES her big sis!
Malia got to decorate her cake any way she chose. She was so proud!
So many friends came...Malia couldn't believe it!

Here is Malia's godsis, Gabby and Aunt Sara....she shares her birthday!

Summer Fun....

As summer ends, we have had a blast. We ended with a birthday party at a stable that both girls LOVED! It had a petting zoo, bounce house, they got to ride a pony and more. It is such a joy to watch them grow up together. They truly love being around each other. Ava wants to do EVERYTHING that Malia is doing and Malia is such a wonderful and patient big sister. What a joy!!!

Malia is always happiest when her cousins are with her. Makenzie and Claudia are always so patient with her and Ava...what great girls.

California 2010

We had the BEST time on our California road trip! We left early (about 2 am) on Sat and got to our first stopping point (Elk Grove by Sacramento) at about 4. The girls did such an amazing job in the car both ways!!! We visited with family, went to Disneyland, and even snuck in a short stay in SanDiego so that we could go to SeaWorld. What a FABULOUS summer memory!

Malia was so excited to see the castle...she recognizes it from her Disney movies:-)

Playing in the water at the beach. Something about sand that makes you feel like a kid again!

Trying to break out!
Malia LOVED this jungle cruise.
Malia was chosen from the crowd to dance in the parade at Disneyland! Such a great time!
The Blue Horizon show at SeaWorld. I was in awe...especially because I LOVE dolphins!

Finding Nemo...I am not going to lie...the submarine had me a little claustrophobic!
Malia was so fascinated by the princesses...she kept staring and waving. Too cute.
Driving with Daddy!
Ava was not happy that I was paying attention to anything but her.
We had a wonderful dinner with Aaron's father and his two sisters. It was such a wonderful experience to meet with them.

This is Aaron's grandfather, Daddy Alfred. He had quite a bit to do with Aaron being the amazing father/husband he is today. We love him dearly.
