Ava's 3!!!!

It is so incredible to me that Ava's now 3! She is such an interesting person! She definitely has her own opinions and can be very fiesty.

Ava was allowed into ballet before the age cut off and she couldn't have been happier. She has wanted to do ballet since she could walk. She is beyond excited to join her sister in the wonderful world of ballet!

The incredible Miss Theresa!!

Fun Times!!

We have been having a great time! Aaron and I snuck away to the Skamania lodge/N. Bonneville Hot Springs for some golf and relaxing. It was such a great treat!!!!

On Saint Patricks Day, our family went to the Wilson Show Choir Auction. This is an annual event for us and every year it is such a treat.

It has been SUCH a blessing having Melly home! She is married to such an incredible man and our girls have been so lucky to have them both.

What a great night!

Kathryn's Memorial

Today was my cousin Kathryn's memorial. It was an incredible testament to what a person can accomplish with their life. She was almost 21 when she passed...but she affected more people in that amount of time than most do with 5 times that many years. Kathryn was the most positive person and did not let the fact that she had cancer hold her back. She wrote an incredible piece about cancer being like a rainstorm...you can stay inside and whine about the rain or you can put on your rain coat and splash in the puddles. What an incredible spirit. Please pray for her family...her mother, father, brother, and grandmother especially. I have included this poem because I think it is a perfect representation of Kathryn....

The Dash
By: Linda Ellis
I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end.

He noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke of the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own,
The cars,
The house,
The cash,

What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard;
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
To consider what’s true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we’ve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect
And more often wear a smile,
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.

So when your eulogy is being read
With your life’s actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say,
About how you spent your dash?

End of 2011

2011 has been incredible to the Qualls Crew!
Christmas morning! Neither girl slept well the night before...too excited. Ava's crazy hair is hilarious!! Ava has gone from needing her pacifier at ALL times to being very uninterested in it. We keep waiting for the fallout, but that is totally her...she does things at her own pace. :-)

Malia continues to love ballet and has moved to the 5-7 class. She had her winter show case and is BEYOND excited for her big show in June...Peter Pan.
The besties...this is my mom and Auntie...their hats say "Old Chicks Rule!"

This is my grandma...she is an inspiration to all. She is hilarious, lively, and speaks her mind.

Off to Grandma Sheila's in their matching outfits from Grandma Corol and Grandpa.

The girls getting ready to see Santa!

Mel and I had the best time at the Prince concert! This is the third time we have seen him together...we were joking that we average every 7 years so next time we will be in our forties!

Girls with Santa! Grandma Sheila bought them these beautiful dresses. The girls were so excited, but as we approached Ava got a little shy. She got over it quickly though and was soon chatting away with Santa!

Happy Halloween!

The girls had the best Halloween this year. It was so incredible to go to Fircrest and have my brother and his family there...and have my best friend, Mel back here and LIVING in Fircrest!! We were lucky enough to have Andre join us as an angry bird...I am so glad that my bestie and godkids are back!

We went to visit my mom at the bank so she could see the girls in their costumes!

They were so excited to go trick or treating.

Happy Halloweeners!

Hailey's Celebration

We were beyond excited to share Hailey's special celebration! Hailey has been kicking leukemia's booty and was unable to celebrate her birthday in Sept when she and Malia turned five.

Now, Hailey has completed the more difficult rounds of chemo and was able to have her party. We had an incredible time....Hailey is such a brave girl...with an incredible family that we love dearly.

Love these girls!!
