Ava's Birthday!!!

Our baby is 1!!!! We had such a wonderful party for her on her actual birthday, April 6th. Malia hosted the event and was such a great help!!! Ava was spoiled rotten and so many people were able to come even though it was in the middle of the week!

Here is Ava's birthday cake...we got Hawaiian flowers for her godmom, godsis, and godbrother, who are all living in Maui...for now.

Easter Best

My mom got the girls the most beautiful Easter dresses. Unfortunately, Ava was NOT having a picture in them. She has not been feeling well and her redhead temper came out:-( I ended up being in most of the pics which obviously was not my intention (see awesome outfit and lack of makeup:-) Ironically, these are the memories I treasure.SO not happy.
Aaron loved this picture. Perhaps it is because I am giving up...this was the second round of trying to take pics and I was like...grab the paci!So much happier now.Malia thought this was hilarious...I was trying to hide behind her.

Ahhh...it is never what you expect.Malia loved wearing her dress and shoes.

Poor baby did not feel good!Ahhhh, atta girl! She rallied for one chair shot. Love her.
Malia loves taking pictures...what a trooper!

A Time of Firsts...

Ava's first birthday is just days away and we are enjoying a lot of firsts. Ava finally gets to face forward in the car (she is much happier), first taste of milk, and a first for Malia. Her first haircut. Of course, I was emotional about it...the lady thought we were talking about Ava at first which was hilarious. Obviously, Ava has very little hair:-)
Ava loves reading with big sis...also, she LOVES her milk!

Here is Malia waiting for her turn to get her hair cut!
She was very worried that the lady would get water in her eyes.
So excited!
Even Ava got to play a bit!
Malia was watching the lady the whole time...my favorite part was when the lady brought out the hair dryer. Malia had never seen one, let alone used one. Guess that tells you that I don't do much to my hair:-)
All done!!!

Viva Las Vegas!

Aaron and I had a wonderful trip to Vegas. We snuck away for two nights to Vegas to have some us time. It was hard to leave our girls but such a wonderful trip. I ended up winning over $700.. few hundred here and there...what a blessing!! We are so lucky that we had family that stepped up to help with our girls...especially Grammy (Aaron's mom) who stayed overnight with them both nights!!! What a great trip!!
We took a picture by the pirate ship for Malia :-)
This was Aaron's only wish for Vegas...to visit the Callaway golf center with driving range. Funny guy.
Heading home to our girls....happy mommy!
