Well, it has been a very busy time for me at work. I have had numerous trainings, it is time for report cards and conferencing, and we took a little time last weekend to go to Sequim without Malia. So I have been having SERIOUS momma guilt. I felt pretty prepared for everything in motherhood (okay not really) but the momma guilt thing is truly difficult. Logically, I know it is very healthy for Aaron and I to get away or I know that I need to work...but logic has nothing to do with momma guilt. Anyway, this weekend for me has been all about spending time with my girl. While we have been silly and playful...poor daddy has been doing all of the house chores. What a good daddy! Who would believe it??? Sunshine in February!Momma and Malia watching some Hip Hop Harry...the only show she will watch.
Our number one golf course for now is Chambers Bay. It has over 7,000 yards and some of the most trying greens. We had a great time playing there.

Welcome Wyatt!
Wyatt Scott Chase was born today...February 11th. I love having someone else born on the 11th:-) Wyatt is the son of my dear friends, Jess and Dale. I met Dale working at Skyline. We became very good friends...he reminds me of a younger version of my bro to be honest. When we became friends, I also had the blessing of meeting his amazing angel of a wife (and she is a REDHEAD!!!) Jess. It has been inspirational to know them as a couple.
Today they join the club of parenthood. There are no words to describe how happy we are for them. We cannot wait to meet Wyatt in person but thought it would be bad ettiquette to be waiting for them when they got home:-) Welcome, Wyatt Scott Chase...Welcome!!!!
Grandpa in Glenoma
This is my grandpa. I know that everyone thinks that their grandpa is (or was) extra special...but mine truly is. This is a picture of my grandpa on the first day I met him. It is a rather long story, but I met my grandpa when I was 27 years old. My mom was adopted as a baby, and we never knew my grandpa (my birth grandmother passed away when my mom was small). I had heard about my grandpa that lived in Morton, but we had never met. One day I decided that enough was enough and I wrote him a letter. Luckily for me, he wanted to see us as much as we wanted to see him. Needless to say, in the three years since...we have made many trips to Glenoma (near Morton).
Last Sunday we surprised Grandpa with a visit. He lives at the base of the mountain and it is gorgeous!
Here is Malia with Grandma Michelle. She is meeting her first horse (come to find out later it is a Mule...close enough).
This is when the mule started to try to eat Grandma Michelle and Malia. No more visiting the horse/mule.
Here we are...four generations of stubborness! Unbelievable to see how similiar we truly are.

BFF's
Malia has the most amazing BFF. For those of you not up on the lingo...it is her best friend forever. I think I should give you a little history. I have a dear friend from college (Holly) who found out she was pregnant a few weeks before me. She was due about 3 days before I was and was always saying that we were going to go into labor at the same time. She even went on to say that we would be go through birth next door to each other...and on and on. I played along, but what were the chances? Well...you guessed it. We were both overdue (me by 11 days...Holly by 14) and Malia's BFF was born a few hours before her. More amazing...I'll be darned if we were not in the room next to them!
What an awesome experience to have someone to go through motherhood with. Holly and I called each other about EVERYTHING to make sure we weren't crazy. We still do. Today we took the girls to get Valentine's pictures and it took my breath away to realize how blessed we are to have such great friends. Hailey Jo and Malia Kathryn...Best Friends Forever.
